Sunflowers for Lily

Book Summary:

This part biography and part investigative journalism memoir is a deeply personal journey in how trauma and grief redefines who we are and how we live our lives.

I reflect on how my father’s debilitating brain illness of dementia impacted my family.  The trauma of losing my father while he was still alive caused me to be almost paralyzed with fear.  Everyone's road to healing is different but the stories of so many others can remind us that we are part of a greater community of acceptance, gratitude, compassion, and love.

This book chronicles voices of those who have walked through the pain of trauma and loss, as well as doctors, healers, teachers, and inspiring everyday people rising above their ashes to transform themselves and those around them.
